Heading Out
The plan was to get to Moab, UT on the first day and visit Arches National Park the next morning. We got off I-70 to check out the ghost town of Cisco and it totally paid off. The clerk at the general store there recommended that we take Scenic Byway 128 around the south side of the park and it turned out to be some of the best scenery of our trip. We also ended up making such good time that we were able to get into Arches just after 4 PM, which is the cutoff for requiring timed entry tickets.
